Randy Eugene Taylor, age 69, of Evening Shade, Arkansas and a former long time Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1973, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024 in Evening Shade, Arkansas.
He was born February 21, 1955, in Sturgis to Charles and Joyce (Kipker) Taylor.
Randy was a truck driver and served in the United States Army. He was also a member of the Abundant Life Church in Highland, Arkansas.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he was a jack of all trades. Randy loved trucking, fishing, hunting, wrestling, shooting, boating, rebuilding old John Deere tractors, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his father and one granddaughter, Madelyn Taylor.
Randy is survived by his wife of 21 years, Alice Taylor of the home; his mother, Joyce Taylor; his son, Charles Taylor (Katy) of Sturgis; one adopted daughter, Janell Taylor of Russellville, Arkansas; two step children, Raegan Harbin (Billie) of Judsonia, Arkansas and Ryan Ray (Samantha) of Cabot, Arkansas; two brothers, Ryan Taylor (Katha) of Sturgis, and Rodney Taylor (Gail) of Michigan; two sisters, Rhonda Harper (Brad) of Sturgis, and Ranell Staples (Doug) of Sturgis; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at the Abundant Life Church in Highland, Arkansas on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
