Frederick J. Good, age 85, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
He was born March 5, 1939 in Battle Creek, a son to the late Carl J. and Leta R. (Palmateer) Good.
On March 15, 1959 in Bronson, he married Norma Metzger and they resided in Bronson until 1987 when they moved to LaGrange.
Frederick had been employed by Morgan Olson in Sturgis for 30 years and also at Lakepark Industries in Shipshewana where he retired in July 2004.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and camping.
Surviving are his wife: Norma; three sons: Ora (Lesia) Good of Coldwater, David (Rhonda) Good of Bronson, and Richard (Penny) Good of Angola; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Velma Bassler of Grand Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Larry J. Good in Nov. 2000, stepfather: Orville “Corky” Thomas, one brother: Francis Good, and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00 to 7:00 on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091. The family will also receive friends and relatives on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M., at the First Church of God, 777 N. Detroit, St., LaGrange, IN where services celebrating the life of Frederick J. Good will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rich Laskows, officiating.
Interment and graveside services will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bronson, MI. Memorial donations may be directed to Parkview Home Health and Hospice or the LaGrange First Church of God, envelopes are available at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
