Michael Charles Kaiser, age 76, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Sturgis on October 10, 1947, the son of Walter and Mary T. Kaiser, and grew up on Corey Lake where his parents ran the Kaiser Pulver Resort.
Mike attended Three Rivers schools, graduating in 1965. While in high school he was on the football team and track team. Mike attended Grand Rapids Junior College for one year. In 1967 he joined the United States Air Force.
On March 22, 1969 he married Susan Kauszler. They were married for 55 years. Mike was an avid golfer in the summer and bowler in the winter. He also did woodworking on a scroll saw.
Mike was a senior technical instructor for Rockwell International for 25 years. He taught programming classes and developed courses for the company.
Mike is survived by his wife, Susan; 2 daughters and spouses, Mrs. Christine Shively and Tom, Mrs. Jacquline Hankins and Mike; 4 grandchildren, Mrs. Savannah Bosler and Zach, Mrs. Diana Boussom and Danny, Miss Abigail Shively and Mr. Brady Shively; 2 great-grandchildren, Hana-Mei Bosler and Zane Bosler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law James and Debbie Kauszler; nephew, Danny K. Kaiser; nieces, Mondae Dobrowolski and Mary Schindel.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Danny K. Kaiser Sr.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2024 beginning at 2:00 at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 at the funeral home with Norm Stutesman officiating. Military honors will be presented under the auspices of American Legion Hice-Shutes Post #170.
Donations in Mike’s memory may be directed to Compassus Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Dear Sue, I am sorry to read of Mike’s death. I know how special your marriage was and his love for you and his family. It is a harsh reality that we are all growing old. I remember our coffee klutz’s fondly. My thoughts are with you all in your time of grief. Take gentle care, Denise.
