Kevin Kroehler, case manager for Sturgis Salvation Army, said the agency is accepting applications from people requesting donated Christmas toys through Nov. 1.
The stated wants or needs are picked up by people interested in helping fulfill requests for children whose family is experiencing a hardship.
Applicants may apply online at: saangeltree.org, or in person 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 105 N. Fourth St.
Applicants are required to provide a photo ID for head of household only, and birth certificates or shot records for each child. This year, the Sturgis agency will be serving families with children aged 14 and younger only.
In addition, Kroehler said there is a need for volunteers to help set up toys 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 18 and the same time Dec. 19 to help clients shop for toys.
