Sandra Marie Davis, age 72, of Sturgis, passed away Monday afternoon, January 20, 2025, at her home.
She was born July 20, 1952, in Sturgis, daughter of the late Jarvis Otis and Charlene (Shaffer) Gundrum.
Sandy was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1970.
On May 8, 1971, she married Bruce Lee Davis in Sturgis. He preceded her in death May 21, 2012.
Sandy retired in 2017 from Walmart in Sturgis where she had been employed as a dedicated manager for 22 years. Prior to joining Walmart, she had been employed as the shoe department manager at Kmart in Sturgis for 20 years and she worked in tax accounting for 30 years.
She was an active member of Eagles Lodge #1314. Sandy loved crafting and baking, especially wedding cakes.
She is survived by her daughter: Tamara L. Davis of Sturgis; son: Chad M. (Dondra) Davis of Coldwater; grandsons: Perry Hanson of Fort Wayne and Kenneth (Mandy) Easterday of Sturgis; two great grandsons; four great great granddaughters; sister: Karen Owens of Coldwater; brother-in-law: Randy (Mary) Davis of Sturgis and sister-in-law: Sherry Davis of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Angela Davis, two brothers and one sister, sister-in-law and brother-in-law.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, Jan. 23rd at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Sandra Marie Davis will be held at 1:00 Friday, Jan. 24th. The Rev. Doug Carr of Sturgis Foursquare Church will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
