Motorcycle Safety Program at Glen Oaks

Glen Oaks Community College has started its 2025 Motorcycle Safety Program.

Offered through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and supported by the State of Michigan’s Motorcycle Safety Grant, the program continues to offer high-quality, accessible rider training leading to a Michigan “CY” motorcycle endorsement.

This year’s program features two course options to meet varying experience levels: Basic Rider Course and Basic Rider Course 2.

Training motorcycles for the one-day course are provided. Cost to participate is $50. Upon successful course and road test completion, students will be registered with the Michigan Secretary of State.

To ensure safety, all participants must bring a helmet and eye protection, and wear long sleeves, long pants and sturdy footwear that covers the ankles.

Details regarding the dates of future classes and registration can be found on Glen Oaks’ website: glenoaks.edu.
