Philip George McCallum, age 73, of Sturgis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Three Rivers Health.
Born on October 1, 1951 in Winnipeg, Canada, Phil was the son of the late Roy and Rose (Karasevich) McCallum. He made his home in the Sturgis and Burr Oak area since 1987, after relocating from Chicago.
Phil retired from Owens Illinois in Constantine, where he worked for many years as a dedicated machine operator. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his trade.
A man of simple pleasures, Phil enjoyed watching classic films and was a lifelong, devoted fan of the Chicago Bears.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Scott (Suzanne) McCallum of Sturgis and Sandra (Sara) McCallum of Lansing; his cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Katie, and Karsin; and his former wife, Carole McCallum of Sturgis.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal services are planned.
