In the Three Rivers mayor’s race, incumbent Tom Lowry was defeated by newcomer Angel Johnston. Johnston received 63 percent of the vote, while Lowry had 35 percent. School operating millage approved in Constantine

Voters in the Constantine Public Schools boundaries approved a request to renew the district’s operating millage at its statutory maximum by a 57 to 43 percent tally. The school district will now restore its operating millage to 18 mills for a seven year period. The current rate is 16-point-7 mills, a reduction due to the Headlee Amendment.
