Car semi crash near Mottville

A Muskegon man sustained serious injuries in a car-semi crash on M-103 north of Barker Road in Mottville Township Wednesday afternoon. 51-year-old Lyle Maki began passing a semi with his Volkswagen Beetle, when he collided head-on with an on-coming semi driven by Joe Takacs, age 54, of Detroit. Maki was airlifted from the scene to a hospital for treatment.

Plea agreement reached

  A Burr Oak woman charged with possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime is set for sentencing Sept. 29 in District Court after reaching a plea agreement last week.
