New county administrator named

Teresa Doehring was announced Tuesday as the successor to Pat Yoder as St. Joseph County administrator. The position is the highest, non-elected job in St. Joseph County’s government. Twenty-six county employees with milestone years of service were recognized Tuesday by the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners. Irrigation system damaged

An irrigation system was damaged last month in Burr Oak Township. The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department said the incident occurred in a field at U.S. 12 near Halfway Road. The owner of the system reported the incident Monday and said the damage was likely done on or around Sept. 25.

Police catch person of interest in overdose death

Tips from the public helped police apprehend a 39-year-old man considered a person of interest in the heroin overdose death of a Three Rivers woman.
