Sturgis Township appoints new trustee

A new trustee was appointed Monday to the Sturgis Township Board. Rodney Stahl was appointed to the open trustee spot vacated when Von Metzger was selected as the township’s new supervisor. Three Rivers Wastewater Treatment Plant officials on Monday reported to the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency that about 500,000 gallons of untreated wastewater were discharged into the St. Joseph River last week.
