Volunteers needed for Color Dash

Organizers of the 2018 Triple Creek Color Dash are still looking for volunteers to assist with next month’s event. Sponsored by Three Rivers Health, the 5K and 1-mile run take place at 9 a.m. June 16 in Three Rivers as part of its Three Rivers Water Festival. Prospective volunteers are asked to call 273-9758.

Constantine schools get new resource officer

Members of Constantine’s board of education have announced that Holly Cerny is the school’s new resource officer. Superintendent Steve Wilson said village police chief Mark Honeysett confirmed that Cerny would fill the position. Constantine approves medical marijuana permit amendments

The Constantine Village Council earlier this month approved amendments to medical marijuana permits. Permits for a grow operation and a processing center were issued Feb. 19 to Brett Thompson and Terry Rodino, co-owners of Apogee Processing. Disc golf course opens at Cade Lake County Park

St. Joseph County Parks and Recreation Department officials over the weekend opened the agency’s newest amenity: a disc golf course. A tournament to celebrate the newest attraction at Cade Lake County Park in Fawn River Township drew 53 participants Saturday to what has been named Deadwood Disc Golf Course.
