State Rep. Matt Lori on Tuesday announced the St. Joseph County Grange Fair will receive a $20,000 state grant to fund construction of an educational exhibit pavilion to showcase beef. An OB nurse, Kohlhoff is a 13-year employee and won the award based on nominations from her peers. A state report that gauges the well-being of Michigan’s children shows St. Joseph County falls in the lowest third of all the counties in the state. The Michigan Public Service Commission has given Enbridge Energy the green light to replace about 160 miles of its crude oil and petroleum pipeline through 10 southern Michigan counties.
