Two Indiana men whose car broke down along U.S. 12 in Sturgis Township were arrested Sunday morning on drug-related charges. Teen kills himself after accidentally killing another teen

Police say a distraught teenager killed himself after fatally shooting another teen while playing with a gun. The two shootings occurred Monday night in an alley in Kalamazoo. Sturgis home damaged in fire

A house in Sturgis sustained substantial damage as the result of a fire over the weekend. Sturgis Fire Captain Cody Cripe said the department was dispatched around 4:30 a.m. Sunday to the 200 block of North Fourth Street. County Commissioners approve grant

An Emergency Management Grant Agreement was recently approved by the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners. The $25,700 in federal dollars was provided through the Michigan State Police and its Emergency Management Homeland Security Division, which had a total of $9 million to allocate nationwide. Enrollment has increased at Glen Oaks

Glen Oaks Community College is reporting an increase in student enrollment based on its first-week numbers last week.
