A dozen people attended a public forum Wednesday in Mendon to hear more about the school district’s millage-increase request. Colon Community Schools has issued a notice of appreciation to Covenant Church of Colon, which made possible a frozen turkey giveaway last month. Mike Doe has been named president of the Glen Oaks Community College Foundation. The foundation is a not-for-profit organization that supports educational services and programs at the Centreville-area school.
