Michigan State Police troopers report the discovery of a machete on Behnke Road, near Garfield Road, in Branch County’s Coldwater Township. The machete has a black handle with a silver blade. The weapon was found Wednesday last week, authorities said.

Sturgis woman to be sentenced

A 52-year-old Sturgis woman will be sentenced next month on drug-related offenses. St. Joseph County Prosecutor David Marvin said Stephani Webb was convicted by a jury last week and found guilty of possession of methamphetamine and possession of hydrocodone, a controlled substance.
