Trailers stolen in White Pigeon Township

Michigan State Police troopers are investigating the theft of two fifth-wheel, RV trailers from a location in White Pigeon Township. According to agency officials, troopers were dispatched earlier this week to the 14000 block of U.S. 12. The thefts are believed to have occurred at some point between April and August. Health department reminds poultry owners of HPAI concerns

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency wishes to remind the public that poultry owners need to protect their domestic flocks from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. Man charged in attempted murder case

The suspect from a weekend shooting in Mendon has been arraigned. Authorities said Terrell Lamont Reese was arraigned Tuesday and charged with three counts of attempted murder of a police officer and nine felony firearm-related charges. Man arrested on drug charges

A Mendon Township man was arrested on drug-related offenses last week. Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies stopped a vehicle shortly after 9 p.m. Sept. 14 in the area of Ray Road and Michigan Avenue in Mendon Township.
