Sturgis man arrested on drug charges

A 41-year-old Sturgis man was arrested on drug-related offenses last week in Sherman Township. Sheriff’s deputies said they were conducting a routine warrant check at a residence in the 67000 block of Stubey Road, where they located what appeared to be methamphetamine. A 49-year-old woman died following a one-car accident Tuesday in Three Rivers. Three Rivers police said the woman, Lorie Ann Yoder of Colon, drove into a residence on East Hoffman Street near Wood Street. State police troopers are investigating a residential break-in that occurred earlier this week in White Pigeon Township. Commissioners approve Child Care Fund budget

St. Joseph County commissioners last week approved renewal of a budget for the county’s Child Care Fund.
