Doris M. Gest, age 76, of Burr Oak, died Wednesday, Jan. 21.  The family will received friends and relatives from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes, Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Max E. Burkey, age 78, of Mottville, died Wednesday, Jan. 21. Relatives and friends will be received  Saturday from 9 to 11 am  at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, where religious services will follow at  11 am.

Roland E. Persing, age 77, of Sturgis,died Monday, Jan. 19.  Graveside services and burial will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis. Arrnagements by Hackman Family Funeral Homes in Sturgis.

Bradford L. Bean, age 60, of Sturgis, died unexpectedly on Monday morning, Jan. 19. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes-Hackman Chapel in Sturgis. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Whole Life Christian Fellowship Church, 1420 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis.

Mark John Toepper, age 53, of Vicksburg, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 19.  A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes, Rosenberg Chapel, in Sturgis.

Onalee M. Hopkins, age 91, of White Pigeon,died Jan. 14.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the First Presbyterian Church of Sturgis. The Hackman Family Funeral Homes-Hackman Chapel is handling the arrangements.

Fred Martin, age 79, of Mendon, died Thursday, Jan. 15. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon where services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Ronald Miazga, 68, died on Thursday, January 15. He taught english for many years at Glen Oaks Community College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Memorial services will take place Friday, February 6, at 1:00 PM at the Dale Lake Auditorium at Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

Betty J. Wells, age 75 of Kalamazoo, died unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 16. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. Arrangements were by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.

Wilfred M. “Bill” Wing, age 91, of Englewood, Fla., and formerly of Colon, died Thursday, Jan. 15.  The family will receive relatives and friends from noon-1  p.m. on Tuesday at the Schipper Funeral Home Ltd. in Colon.  Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m.
