One injured in motorcycle crash

A 19-year-old Indiana man was involved in a motorcycle crash Friday last week in Fawn River Township. The victim, Brent Hershberger of LaGrange, was involved in the accident that took place on Kime Road near Stoney Road. Investigators said Hershberger misjudged a curve and crashed the cycle. He was thrown from the bike and later taken to Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

200 pounds of medication collected

More than 200 pounds of unwanted and unused prescription drugs were turned in during a recent annual collection in St. Joseph County. The National Take-Back Initiative was April 29 and several local law-enforcement agencies, in conjunction with the St. Joseph County Substance Abuse Task Force, participated.
