A 6-year-old boy died in Cass County’s Volinia Township following an accident Wednesday afternoon. Deputies were called at 3:30 p.m. to the 19000 block of Dewy Lake Street. Seven children and five adults have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash along a western Michigan highway. County commission changes time of meetings

St. Joseph County Commissioners have agreed to revert to an earlier start time for their twice-a-month meetings. During Tuesday’s meeting, the decision was made to move the 6 p.m. start time to 5 o’clock. Three Rivers Police have released further details regarding an incident which occurred Monday morning on Constantine Street, just south of Broadway. Police responded to a 911 call shortly before 6 am, which reported someone’s throat had been cut. The victim was identified as 23-year-old Derrick Coley of Three Rivers. State police arrested a 40-year-old Fabius Township man after an incident and subsequent foot chase last week.
