“Walk a Mile” generates donations

Three Rivers Police Chief Tom Bringman said the May 19 “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” fundraiser generated more than $13,000. The event was a benefit for the Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services of St. Joseph, Cass and Van Buren counties. The city of Sturgis on Tuesday started improving West Lafayette Street, between North Centerville Road and Broadus Street, from West Lafayette to Dresser Drive.
