Michigan State Police troopers are investigating the theft of a commercial truck stolen earlier this month from a location in Fabius Township. According to a department media release, a 26-foot U-Haul truck was taken in the early morning hours of Feb. 7 from the U-Haul rental site. Surveillance cameras confirmed the truck was last seen heading west on M-60.

Sturgis Public Safety receives donation
A local bank recently made a financial donation to the Sturgis Department of Public Safety. Eric Wynes, president of Century Bank and Trust, presented a $5,000 check last week to Damon Knapp, deputy director of police operations at the Sturgis agency.
