County unemployment down for December

December’s unemployment rate in St. Joseph County dropped more than 1 percent from the previous month. The monthly labor-market analysis by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget showed the county’s unemployment rate was 3.2 percent, down from 4.3 percent in November.  St. Joseph County featured the lowest unemployment rate in the region in December.
