Man charged with murder after woman killed with crossbow

A man accused of killing a mid-Michigan woman with a crossbow was charged with first-degree murder Tuesday. Officers were called Sunday to a home on reports that a woman had been shot, the Battle Creek Police Department said. A 4-year-old girl and two men were killed and four others injured in a wrong-way crash in southern Michigan near Marshall. Unemployment decreases in St. Joseph County

February’s unemployment rate in St. Joseph County decreased by nine-tenths of a percent from January. RV thefts in White Pigeon Township

A number of recreational vehicles were reported stolen from a location in White Pigeon Township. State police said the vehicles were stolen between last Tuesday and Thursday (March 28 and March 30) from a location in the 60000 block of U.S. 131.
