Unemployment decreases in St. Joseph County

The December unemployment rate in St. Joseph County decreased by half a percent compared to a month earlier. The monthly labor-market analysis by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget showed St. Joseph County’s 3.4 percent December unemployment rate was less than November’s 3.9 percent. Man arrested on drug charges

A Three Rivers man was arrested last week on drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Three Rivers. Police said a vehicle was stopped early Friday at Broadway Street and U.S. 131 for an improper-lighting violation. K9 Django was brought to the scene and reacted to the presence of narcotics.
